    From Peter Yarrow:

Kudos to Jim Stanard and his recording of "Arkansas” for being on the right side of history with a message of “never again". We can only hope that such stories will be written in our own time, again and again. We must look at our past, celebrate when accolades are deserved, but place responsibility on ourselves and our forbears when evil was done. Beyond that, we must act on what we’ve seen, amplifying what was commendable, but also do our utmost to prevent the recurrence of what was not. This is part of the reason for the recounting of history as an important construct in our lives. If done with a moral conscience, it will help us move, hopefully consistently, towards the better, fairer, more just and humane world.

    A further note:
My daughter, Bethany, and I are grateful to have sung on Arkansas. I am reminded of our Peter, Paul & Mary recordings of songs like Where Have All the Flowers Gone and Blowing in the Wind. Our three voices on Arkansas (Jim, Bethany and Peter) are so very much in sync, as well as our deep appreciation of the meaningfulness of the song.
